Technical Information

Different Types of Flutes in Corrugated Boxes:
The "Flute" is the structure of the wave shaped cardboard material that makes up a board's corrugation. The Flutes come in various sizes. The standard Flute profiles range from A — Flute (the largest) to F — Flute (Micro flutes). The right choice of Flute determines the thickness or thinness and cushioning strength of the corrugated boxes. These boards are sandwiched between the linerboards. While larger flutes provide greater strength, the smaller flutes provide better printability and foldability.
